Engineer-Design & Development (Ref. no.: TH101)

Responsibilities

1. - Responsible to the Design Manager to develop procedures to incorporate best design management techniques with respect to product performance, reliability and manufacturability.
2. - Responsible to the Design Manager for timely completion of design projects that meet / exceed customer expectations
3. - Early identification of cost and schedule variances, and the development and implementation of corrective actions for negative variances
4. - Participates in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost, scheduling, and performance. Present new product concept by drawings using various types of design tools including hand sketch, Pro-E and computer generated renderings
5. - Responsible to the Design Manager for design integration with tool vendors to ensure the expected quality and output of component molding/fabrication can be achieved
6. - Provide technical support and trouble shooting analysis
7. - Provide training to Design Engineer

Requirements

1. - Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering discipline
2. - At least 5 yrs experience in a similar industry– two years of which to be in a supervisory role in the PRC
3. - Strong analytical person marrying sound mechanical knowledge and understanding with proven problem solving skills
4. - Recognized expertise in fully associative 3D design utilizing Pro-Engineer
5. - Fully conversant with design for injection and design of injection mould tools. Moldflow experience an advantage
6. - Good team player who can motivate and train staff effectively
7. - Must be able to create written reports and communicate with overseas customers effectively
8. - Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English
9. - Work and station in our Shenzhen plant
