A product’s design can be the single most important factor in determining market success. Taihei’s range of internal capabilities includes conceptual, industrial, mechanical and electrical development skills. Using advanced technology, ideas can be quickly turned into computer generated models to ensure the products themselves can meet the specifications and performance demands of today’s consumers.

Our extensive use of software covers the complete range of product development. In the mechanical area, Pro Engineer and Solid Works provide the backbone for 3D CAD design while Mold Flow is used to predict plastic flow, deformation and stress analysis. ANSYS is used for FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for both metal and plastic parts.

Once the designs are ready, our in-house prototyping then takes the 3D CAD files to generate accurate parts and products, literally within hours. This is achieved by the use of Objet, SLS, FDM, Rapid tools and soft mold technology in house.

All products are put through a rigorous abuse, destructive and life test scenarios during product development to ensure they surpass expectations and are “Fit For Use”. We always ensures that all prototypes and samples are 100% tested and perform to customer expectations, before they leave the company.

Now that prototypes can be successfully made in ranges of 10’s to 1,000’s, consumer tests and small market launches enable us to accurately capture consumer feedback. This information can be fed back into the Design and Development machine and corrected or improved before any capital investment into molds has been made.
